During the SIGGRAPH 2019 show in Los Angeles, Maxon announced Cinema 4D R21. The new generation of the award-winning 3D modeling, animation and rendering software introduces new capabilities, including a completely new Caps and Bevel system, new Field Force dynamics, interface speed improvements and enhanced integration with popular hardware and software technologies.

Maxon will offer Cinema 4D R21 as a singular solution, discontinuing Cinema 4D Prime, Broadcast, Visualize and Studio, as well as BodyPaint 3D. All development efforts will be focused on one affordable version that includes the complete feature set.

The new slogan “3D for the Whole World”, introduced with R21 embodies the notion to put the most up-to-date 3D technology within easy reach of every artist.

“Cinema 4D has long been heralded as the high-end 3D content creation solution that empowers the creative process – easiest to learn and easiest to use. Today, “easiest to acquire” will be added to the software’s first-class reputation”, said Maxon CEO, David McGavran.

The new price plans include flexible subscription options as well as perpetual licenses. The annual Cinema 4D subscription includes the current version of the software and complete access to the Cineversity training and plugin library. The Redshift renderer, which was acquired by Maxon earlier this year, will continue to be sold separately in a standalone version but a subscription bundle will be also available.

The demo version is the same as the commercial license and can be used for 14 days. Users can download and start learning immediately and activate (no additional download) as soon as they start their subscription at a low monthly fee.

Cinema 4D R21 will be available in the beginning of September, 2019 for both MacOS and Windows.
